the guy shows up and says "you have special conditions and i need to extract large dollar amounts from your wallet. conditions like dirt. or pet odors or stains or day to day soiling. in fact you could have a new rug just put down and they'll find a special condition they need to charge you for. want scotchguard? sorry, there's only water in this pump up sprayer I'm charging you scotchgard for.
If your number one burning goal is to save money rip out your carpets and walk on the plywood underlayment. or rent a machine, soak your carpets with soap and get that wonderful three day dry time moldy smell.
