a big sign in the lobby said they were gonna upgrade the entire elevator. better and better.
When I got to the unit, the owner let me in and i examined the carpets. they were soiled but not terrible. then he told me his chief concern was pet dander. they got a cat and found out he was allergic to it and now his nose is falling off.
Hold on there sugarfoot. before we clean your carpets there is something you need to know. That dander isn't just in the carpets, it's everywhere. in the vents and the drapes and blinds and and and pretty much everywhere.
You see, that stuff is really fine and lands on most everything. before I could help him he needed to bring in a big crew and dust and wash and knock down everything down into the carpets.
Carpets act like a filter to hold and trap dust mites, allergens and soil. vacuuming is good but it only goes so far. to really improve your indoor air quality you need to flush out those carpets on a regular basis. at least every year to 18 months. do that, change your filters and swap out your vacuum bag when it gets half full and you'll go a long way to improving your indoor air quality and in this clients case, to ridding his home of pet dander.
